Neon Tetra Breeding Project Part 2: Evaluating the First Spawning Attempt and What Comes Next

Hey everyone, welcome back to part two of my Neon Tetra breeding project. In this video, it’s been about two days since setting up the spawning tanks, and I’ve kept them in indirect sunlight so they could experience the natural sunrise. Neon tetras usually prefer to spawn during those early morning hours, so I wanted to give them the most natural conditions possible. I collected all three spawning tanks, each with their own pair of tetras, and took a close look at what’s going on inside. While inspecting the aquariums, I noticed a few small white circular masses that appear to be infertile eggs, along with some other tiny unidentified objects. It seems there may have been an attempt to spawn, but unfortunately, this round wasn’t successful overall. Even though it’s a little disappointing, every failed attempt is part of the learning process. Breeding fish like neon tetras takes patience, observation, and a lot of fine-tuning. I’ll be making some adjustments moving forward, including changes to the water parameters, feeding schedule, and lighting conditions, to create the best possible environment for successful spawning. Failure is how we learn and improve, and I’m excited to keep refining my process until I get it right. Make sure to stay tuned for the next chapter in this breeding project, where I’ll be sharing what changes I make and whether the next attempt brings better results.
