Shipping Policy Overview
Please note: I no longer ship via the United States Postal
Service (USPS).
Due to severe inconsistencies with delivery times, rising fees, and unreliable
service, I have transitioned entirely to UPS and FedEx for all shipments. This
change ensures better tracking, faster delivery, and safer handling of live
animals and plants.
This shipping policy is intended as a general guideline and
is subject to change at any time without notice. Shipping services, pricing,
and procedures may shift due to constant changes in carrier policies and market
conditions. I reserve the right to modify the chosen shipping method to one
that ensures the safe arrival of plants, animals, and invertebrates, while also
helping to reduce costs and delivery times for both you and me. My priority is
always the health and safety of the living things I raise, and I am committed
to offering the most reasonable shipping rates possible within current market
standards.
All my fish, shrimp, plants, and aquarium goods come from a
small, hands-on setup where quality and care matter. My livestock is either
home-raised in natural, planted aquariums or responsibly collected and properly
acclimated before being listed. Because these are live organisms, each one may
show natural variation in size, color, or behavior. You might even spot a snail
hitchhiker on a plant or a unique quirk in a fish’s markings—these small
surprises are part of what makes this hobby special.
You’ll receive healthy, active stock, extras when
appropriate, and clear communication every step of the way. I take pride in
offering items I personally care for and stand behind, and I’m always here to
support your aquarium journey.
Live Tropical Fish Shipping Policy
Shipping Methods and Costs:
• All live tropical fish orders are shipped via UPS Ground
or FedEx Ground/Home Delivery at a flat rate of $19.99 and 2-Day Shipping for $25.50
on LOMWILD’s Website ONLY. Shipping will be Calculated shipping on Ebay and
other auction sites, unless otherwise noted. The shipping method with the
shortest transit time will be selected for your location.
• Some listings may offer free shipping. If a refund is
required, actual shipping charges and box fees will be deducted from the total
refund amount.
• For Auctions, a separate listing is available for UPS 2nd
Day Air at an additional $15.00.
• These upgrade options can be purchased either at the time
of your original order or after I message you with details following your
purchase.
• If UPS 2nd Day Air or a comparable FedEx service is
available at the same cost as Ground ($25.50), it may be used as the default
method.
• Overnight shipping via UPS or FedEx is available upon
request — just send me your shipping address and I’ll provide an accurate quote.
Shipping Schedule:
• To ensure the safest transit, all live shipments are sent
only on Mondays and Tuesdays. This helps prevent weekend delays and ensures the
shortest time in transit.
Live Arrival Guarantee:
• Live Arrival Guarantee is only offered on Overnight
shipments.
• No guarantee is provided for Ground, 2nd Day Air, or any
service that is not overnight, due to the variability in delivery time.
Dead on Arrival (DOA) Policy:
• If any fish arrive DOA, you must send clear photos or
video of the unopened shipping bag within 2 hours of delivery.
• Refunds cover the cost of the fish only. Shipping fees
are non-refundable.
Package Hold Option:
• You may request your package be held at your local UPS
Store, FedEx Office, or authorized access point for pickup. This is highly
recommended during extreme weather conditions.
• In cases of temperature extremes, I may require packages
to be held for pickup to prioritize the health of the fish.
Packaging and Tracking:
• All orders are shipped in insulated packaging with heat
or cold packs as needed. These materials are included in the shipping fee.
• Tracking numbers are provided the evening before
shipment.
Commitment to Quality:
• I take great pride in raising all fish in natural,
well-maintained aquariums and ensure they are healthy before shipping.
• Every fish is packed with care. Your satisfaction — and
the safety of your new fish — are my top priorities. Don’t hesitate to reach
