Recommended Betta Care

Giving your new betta the right environment is the best way to help it thrive.

• Aquarium Size: Minimum 5 gallons, with larger aquariums encouraged.

• Temperature: Ideally 78–82°F with a reliable aquarium heater.

• Filtration: Gentle filtration with minimal water current.

• Environment: Live plants, hiding places, and resting areas near the surface.

• Diet: High-quality betta pellets supplemented with nutritious frozen or live foods.

• Water Quality: Clean, properly conditioned water with consistent maintenance and stable parameters.

Because I've raised my betta lines for generations in domestic aquarium conditions, I've found them to be hardy and adaptable to a variety of appropriate water parameters. Stability, proper acclimation, and good aquarium maintenance are always more important than chasing a perfect pH number.
