These are the real deal! I offer both wild-caught and tank-raised Mosquitofish (Gambusia affinis / holbrooki), collected responsibly or bred and raised right here in my own natural, planted aquariums. Whether they come from the wild or have been born in my care, every fish is healthy, active, and ready to thrive in your pond, tub, or aquarium setup.

Gambusia are well-known for their ability to control mosquito populations by feeding on larvae before they even have a chance to become a nuisance. These small, tough livebearers are incredibly easy to care for and adapt well to a wide range of water conditions. In fact, they’re often used in outdoor water features, rain barrels, and livestock troughs.

Quick Facts:
Scientific Name: Gambusia affinis / holbrooki
Common Name: Mosquitofish
Size: 1 to 2.5 inches (females larger than males)

Care Level: Extremely easy
Water Parameters:
 – Temperature: 65 to 85°F
 – pH: 6.5 to 8.5

They are livebearers, so if you’re lucky, some females may already be gravid and ready to drop fry soon after arrival. Whether you’re using them for natural pest control or just appreciate their movement and utility, Gambusia are a hardy and rewarding species to keep.

Please note that availability may vary depending on weather and collection schedule. All wild-caught fish are handled with care and conditioned before shipping.

Thank you for supporting my small-scale operation — these fish are a passion of mine, and I’m proud to share them with fellow enthusiasts!
