The Least Killifish (Heterandria formosa) is a fascinating nano livebearer and among the smallest fish kept in aquariums. They are best suited for planted tanks with gentle water flow and plenty of cover, where their shy but active nature can shine. These fish enjoy a varied diet of live and frozen foods such as baby brine shrimp, microworms, daphnia, and finely crushed flakes. One of the most unique traits of the Least Killifish is their reproductive strategy. Instead of giving birth to large broods, females release just one or a few fry at a time, making them a true curiosity among livebearers.
