LRB Rainbow Tiger Endler Pair | 1 Male + 1 Female | Colorful Livebearers
THIS LISTING IS FOR ONE PAIR: 1 MALE + 1 FEMALE
The LRB Rainbow Tiger Endler is one of those strains that really has to be seen in person to fully appreciate. Males develop an incredible mixture of yellow, gold, black, blue, green, and cream, with bold tiger like markings running across the body and beautifully patterned fins.
One of the things I enjoy most about this line is the variation. No two males look exactly alike. Each fish develops its own combination of color, pattern, and intensity, which makes establishing and watching a colony develop especially rewarding.
My Rainbow Tiger Endlers originate from the LRB line and are raised here at LOMWILD. They are healthy, active fish that are carefully conditioned on a varied diet that includes quality prepared foods along with live and frozen foods.
WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE
This listing is for:
1 Male LRB Rainbow Tiger Endler
1 Female LRB Rainbow Tiger Endler
The male will display the colorful patterning this strain is known for, while the female will be larger bodied and considerably more subtle in coloration.
Individual colors, markings, fin patterns, and body patterns will naturally vary from fish to fish. This natural variation is part of what makes the Rainbow Tiger line so interesting.
COLORATION
Males are the showcase of this strain and may display combinations of:
Yellow
Gold
Black
Blue
Green
Cream
Orange or reddish accents
Bold tiger like body markings
Patterned dorsal and caudal fins
Coloration continues to develop as the fish mature and settle into a healthy aquarium environment.
Females are much more understated in appearance but are an important part of establishing a breeding colony. They are generally larger and fuller bodied than males.
TEMPERAMENT
Rainbow Tiger Endlers are active, peaceful livebearers that work very well in planted aquariums and peaceful community setups.
They are social fish and are especially enjoyable when kept in groups where their activity, courtship behavior, and natural interactions can be observed.
As with most livebearers, males may frequently court females, so additional females can be added if you plan to expand the group into a larger colony.
BASIC CARE
Temperature: Approximately 72°F to 80°F
Water: Moderate to hard water is generally preferred
pH: They are adaptable but usually perform well in neutral to moderately alkaline conditions
Aquarium: A mature, cycled aquarium with clean and stable water is strongly recommended
Filtration: Gentle to moderate filtration with good biological filtration
Aquascaping: Live plants, floating plants, mosses, and other cover are excellent additions
Rainbow Tiger Endlers are relatively easy to maintain when provided with clean, stable water and a quality diet.
Regular partial water changes and consistent aquarium maintenance are more important than trying to maintain one exact water parameter.
FEEDING
These fish are omnivorous and benefit from a varied diet.
A quality small pellet or flake food can form the foundation of their diet. I also recommend supplementing with appropriately sized live or frozen foods such as:
Baby brine shrimp
Adult brine shrimp
Daphnia
Moina
Microworms
Other small live foods
Offering a varied diet can help support healthy growth, body condition, breeding activity, and strong coloration.
GREAT FOR PLANTED AQUARIUMS
Rainbow Tiger Endlers really stand out against live plants and darker backgrounds.
Dense planting also provides cover for females and gives newly born fry places to hide. Floating plants, mosses, and fine leaved plants are especially useful when establishing a breeding colony.
BREEDING
Rainbow Tiger Endlers are livebearers and can reproduce readily once established.
Rather than laying eggs, females give birth to live fry. A healthy female may produce additional broods once mature and comfortable in the aquarium.
Because this listing includes one male and one female, it provides a simple starting point for someone interested in establishing their own LRB Rainbow Tiger Endler colony.
If breeding is your goal, providing dense plant growth and additional hiding places can greatly improve fry survival.
WHY I ENJOY THIS LINE
The Rainbow Tiger is one of those strains where the colony itself becomes part of the experience.
The males are colorful, but the real appeal is seeing how each generation develops. Different combinations of tiger markings, metallic colors, fin patterns, and body coloration can appear throughout the colony.
That natural variation means there is always something new to notice.
PLEASE NOTE
This listing is for one male and one female LRB Rainbow Tiger Endler.
Fish are living animals, and natural differences in size, coloration, fin shape, pattern, and maturity should be expected.
The exact fish received may vary in appearance from example photographs unless the listing is specifically identified as WYSIWYG.
Coloration may continue developing as the fish mature and become established in their new aquarium.
